With the pronouncement of cancer, I had a myriad of feelings and emotions: shock,
dismay, fear, confusion, frustration and many times I had thoughts of just plain
hopelessness.
|
|
Then, so many questions: financial, family concerns, physical changes and limitations,
work issues and the list could go on. Because of cancer, sometimes I felt as if
I was in a time of great stress and trial and there was no way out. But knowing
God loves me and was for me brought me peace and confidence. I found first hand,
God wants to bring each one of us through this time of distress.

It is God’s design and desire that we have a full, healthy life. A life filled with
joy, peace, hope and rest in His promises to us in His Word, The Holy Bible.
When we surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, He has a promise for us.
Ps 91:1-4 "HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable
and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I
will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and
rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the
snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with
His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and
His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

The Bible says in Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."
You can make that decision right now at this moment by repeating this simple prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and ask you to forgive me. I call on your name,
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. I acknowledge You are the Son of
God, You were crucified, died and rose again that I could be saved and spend eternity
with you in Heaven. I want to be saved and for you to come into my heart and be
Lord of my life."
Amen

Jesus said in John 10:9-11, "I am the Door; anyone who enters
in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely],
and will find rest and peace. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and
destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to
the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and
lays down His [own] life for the sheep."

I am a cancer overcomer through trusting the faithfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ
and His Word. You can be a cancer overcomer too. The Word of God says "And Jesus
healed them all." God is not a respecter of persons. What He did for me, He will
do for you. As a child of God that is His promise to us when we surrender our lives
to Him and make Him Lord of our life. Will you do that today? It is very simple.
