We compose a Monthly Prayer Calender from our prayer requests at our meetings and through this website. Just imagine, instead of just asking your family and friends to pray for your request, the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Prayer Calendar causes a lot more people to be praying for your needs and concerns together on the same day of each month.

Ps 10:12 Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.NIV

Christians overcoming Cancer: This word "Arise" in the Hebrew means to exert power; put in motion; getting up and getting started; to emerge from a particular position; ascending by body, soul or spirit.

Sometimes, when I was in the most difficult times of feeling really awful during the challenge of cancer surgeries, treatments, emotional upheaval, etc. arising was the last thing I wanted to do! However, I knew I could count on God to arise in my circumstances, even if I could not.

It was at this time, the Word of God I had in my heart meant more than ever: such as, Ps 35:2Contend (convince and reclaim) and fight for me, in my weakness, (paraphrase mine), O LORD, with those things that contend (struggle, strive, dispute with me); fight (To resist and win victory over) against those who fight against me.2 Take up Your shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid.NIV
